The VeinViewr Imaging Statem is an infrared imaging device that proides the nurses and doctors a means for locating veins in the very first attempt and within a few seconds.
Aa camera captures an image of the veins illuminated by infrared light and a contrast-enhanced image of the veins is projected back on to the patient's skin in real-time using a projector, after being processed by the processing unit in the computer.
The image obtain is a real time image. Each vein in the Vein Viewer image appears with differnent contrast against the background skin and hence can easily be differentiated.
